Full Version: Can't reset Music Library

When I first installed XBMC (running eden 11.0), I imported all of my music, which was very disorganized. I now have moved a bunch of the random junk to a separate folder (I probably should just delete it, but I didn't). Now I want to reset and start fresh with the music library. I can't seem to just update the library and have it work. I've read to go into userdata and delete the mymusic16.db file, but it isn't there. I've searched everywhere for any file like that, but can't find it anywhere. Any ideas or am I missing something?

thanks
Assuming that 1) you aren't using MySQL and that 2) you do have a music library already established, you should definitely have a MyMusicXX.db file. Depending on your exact version of XBMC, that XX may or may not be 16. Are you seeing a MyVideosXX.db file under your userdata? If so, the MyMusic should be right with it.
Should be in userdata/Database/
The only things in the userdata folder are a folder named PictureIcon and 3 XML files named LCD, ModeLine_template, and RssFeeds. I've done full searches of the whole computer for MyMusic, MyMusic16, MyMusic16.db and several other variations. I don't think I did anything weird on the install, and everything works fine while running XBMC.

You are looking in the installation userdata directory rather than the user one. See here for location of this directory for your OS: userdata (wiki)

Wow, thanks for the help people! So I'm a bit of an idiot and was allowing Win7 to hide files and folders. Thought I had that turned off, but I guess I didn't.

Thanks
