Have Eden install and just recently it has stopped detecting movies being added into it.

Nothing has changed on the machine running XBMC or on my NAS.

I can add the video file if i got into Files settings on the Movies tab.

This happens now and again for me.

Is there a way to fix this?

Sounds like a scraper issue. It won't show up in your library if it's not scraping. If you go into the source and then the context menu, is the type still set for movies and you still have a movie scraper setup?
