I got a PC given to me as my last one pack up so I had to install XBMC again on my last PC I had on the main menu bar a TV Show link and a Movie link but now I've on got the TV Show link I've got through the settings and found it, the option is there but not able to activate it have I got to install something new or is this option being removed ?

You haven't scanned any movies into your library yet.

Yes I Have over 1500 of them

got it working now I didn't scan them in properly

These are in your library and not just merely on your hard disk? To verify: Videos > Library > Movies > Title. Do you see anything listed?
