That`s a goog hint. I will check which Airplay service is doing the job. The one in XBMC or the one in the firmware!
Hi....

After my most recent ethernet drop out I had a look at the xbmc log file. Could any experts out there have a look at it and see what went wrong and suggest a fix for it ?

I have tried to attach the file but can't see a option to do so.... I have copied the txt into here from the first error/failure:

Thanks for your reply.

I got my ATV1200 yesterday. Since the last/first ugprade, non of my usb keyboards and mice are working anymore.

Does anyone of you guys has the same issue or has an idea?
Before the Update everything worked fine Sad

(The auto-updater updatet to 20130506, i think)
I assume you connected and disconnected the usb keyboard and mice already?
May be unplug them and reboot the ATV1200 and plug them in again.
Please try different USB slots.
Are you using a usb hub? Did you try a factory reset?
Yes, I've tried reconnecting them both on different USB Slots - without success unfortunately.
I'm not using any USB-Hub. Directly connected to the box.

But I'll try the reboot-method you mentioned and in case a whole factory reset Smile
Im curious, as it worked out of the box before the first upgrade Smile
maybe try reflash manually

I am using a Logitech wireless keyboard and mouse on the lastest upgrade..no drama here.
As been said, try different USB slots and reboot or check your batts:cool:
Do you have any problems with the PIVOS Builds and music on analog out? On my ATV1200 the music ist played but I have sporadic stuttering and distortion....
It is simple setup: analog out into stereo HiFi...

With the Geniatech XBMC build everything is ok.
Loving my box so far Smile

Couple of questions:

Where is the AirPlay settings on the firmware? I don't mind giving it a try with my iPod.
How is the performance of the Netflix app? Is it full HD? Am I better off using the browser page or XBMC add on instead ?
Finally, are there any issues using the DNS Changer apps in the Play Store should I decide to try out USA (or even Swedish for Chuck!) Netflix?

Thanks!
Hi there,

i'm a fresh owner of an ATV 1200 and I'm experiencing the following issues:

1. Within XBMC I can't change the Video-playback-Resolution from "1280x720p". No 1080p available Sad
The Box is connected via hdmi/spdif passtrough and in the android settings display resolution is set to "1080p 50HZ".

2. Video-Playback with 1080p and DTS/Dolby is not working. If the Video is playing at all, the sound is very asynchron and somehow "laggy".

I used both mygica and pivos builds and the android version is up 2 date.

Can someone help me? Sad

1. The GUI is rendered in 1280x720P for a better viewing experience from your sofa. Video is stil rendered in 1080p.

Presuming of course you went to android settings and chose 1080p. Xbmc video res settings do not work (it's beta)

2. video should play in sync with the MoviePlayer that comes with the atv1200. It hasma mediacenter/network app to browse smb/upnp and play in movieplayer.

Xbmc currently has sync issues ( the latest pivos beta build improves this. May build)

Don't expect Xbmc to be perfect when it's still early days in beta

I haven't had an ethernet drop since setting ethernet to STATIC IP
I have changed the device to static IP, and i have changed my NAS to static IP.

I have used a script on this thread which switches ethernet off/on when data is lost, this helps with the fault but does not fix it. When the ethernet drop out occurs you can just wait a few seconds then select the film again and resume without exiting XBMC.

Last night i changed the scripts IP address from my router to the NAS drive. The film played for 1:55hrs before cutting out, being that far into it i thought i had cracked it.

I think if i increase the buffering of xbmc a bit more the script may fix the problem by switching ethernet off/on whilst being in the buffer.

What is the maxium buffer size to set in advancedsettings which affecting the performance of the player ?

That's a bummer and sorry to hear you are suffering like this..
I haven't had time to reload XBMC up after the last upgrade, but I have using DSvideo (Synology Nas Android app)
And having no problems with the Ethernet connection. (As yet)...
I am wired into a 10/100mb 8 port splitter box, then connection into the router.
Last few nights been watching solid 3 hour seasons of streaming TV off the Nas plus had it streaming music off the net for the last 8 hours
And not miss a beat..
I have one of these boxes with the Pivos android XBMC installed. Can I move my XMBC database to the SD card as the 4GB on the box is nearly full. If so, how.
Thanks
Yes..can, use directoryBind.
Head to the XBMCandroid forum and check out my posts on it..
I have posted pictures on how to do it..
