There is a "netflix app" for linux. PPA is: http://www.iheartubuntu.com/2012/11/ppa-...p-app.html

I put in quotes because I believe it's just a firefox windows version using wine and silverlight with special patches. Anyone know a way to incorporate this into xbmc and have my remote also control it?

Maybe use Advanced Launcher or create a favorite/shortcut that will launch this (or a script, if you also want to do other stuff)?
