So I installed Windows 8 on my PC and now whenever XBMC is in the background the video playback is dropping frames like crazy.
When I was running under Win7 I could easily run Assassin's Creed 3 and run a full 1080p video no problem at all. Now it seems like Windows is time slice only a tiny fraction of CPU time to the background processes.
Any ideas?
Obviously have to run XBMC in windowed or fake fullscreen, but as I said its always run great before Win8.
