I have a very strange issue. I'm using Xtreamer Ultra 2 with Openelec and XBMCbuntu installed side by side. In Openelec I can use IR MCE remote from distance 5 meters, but in XBMC the remote works only from less than 1 m.
irw also doesn't show any input when distance is more than approximately 1m.

So the question is: is there any sensitivity settings for IR receiver?

i am having the same problem as you XBMCbuntu Frodo installed on Xtreamer Ultra 2 and the remote is slow and dose not respond some time have you found a solution yet if so could you let me know
