Hi,
I just finished installing my XBMC, and it's the first time I am going to use it.
It's installed on a laptop , Asus Zenbook, Windows 7 64bits, 8Go RAM. ( I am running only XBMC on it)
I tried running an HD Movie, size of the MKV file is 30 Go.
It keeps buffering every 30-40 seconds.
Is there anything on my setup that I need to optimize?
Is the file too big for XBMC?
Is there anything I should look at?
(I did increase the cachemembuffersize to 500Mo to see if it will improve but no improvement).

Is the file on the laptop locally or is it on another computer on your network? Also, get a debug log (wiki) of when this happens.

I think I just found my stupid issue.
I was using my wireless at 54Mb, so obviously it's expected to have buffering issues when you stream a 1080P to it :p
Unfortunately the laptop zenbook come with a usb adapter for a LAN , but its speed is 100Mb and it doesn't do 1Gb, but 1080P seems to run fine so far on the 100 network.

Yeah, 100meg ethernet is more than enough even for the most demanding HD videos.
