Ok I must be an idiot, I am trying to create a movie playlist of only certain movies I want show for a get together I'm having, basically I want to go through a movie list with only PG-PG-13 movies showing in the list.
I tried creating new playlist, I've tried smart playlist,... nothing seems to be working and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong Do I have to create a separate folder and move over the movies I only want in that playlist?

Sorry I'm still pretty new with XBMC.. any help is appreciated thanks.

Have you read the wiki article on Playlists (wiki)? It explains how to add items to a playlist and save it with a name so you can later select it for playback. I recommend using a normal playlist for now, and hold off on smart playlists until you've gained more experience with XBMC.

A smart playlist using ratings should work. Tell us what you've tried and maybe we can figure out why it didn't work.
