I just downloaded and burned the RC3 version of Frodo XBMCBuntu.
However when I start it, it seems XBMC is crashing.
On initial startup I briefly get the XBMC splash screen but then it suddenly closes and I'm presented with a login screen.
After logging in if I start XBMC from the start menu it also crashes on the splash screen.

I tried updating the NVidia drivers as per this article.

See below some details as requested in the 'how to' topic:
FULL Debug Log: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1548719/
Linux Distribution and Version: Ubuntu 12.10 Quantal (from live CD)
Architecture: i686
GIT Revision: sorry can't find this as XBMC is not starting...
Detailed Instructions to Reproduce the Problem: just start the live CD?
Backtrace: http://paste.ubuntu.com/1548734/

Hopefully I've given enough information, the system is right next to me so don't hesitate to ask.
Welcome to forums

What ISO did you download?

See

That means you installed wrong ISO and nvidia drivers are NOT installed at all.

Try this ISO http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/XBMCbun...NVIDIA.iso

aargh! you're right, I was using the wrong ISO...
I wanted to update both my own and my fathers HTPC, which are nvidia and AMD , so I downloaded both ISO's and off course inserted the wrong one.

sorry for bothering!
Happens to the best of us eh?, I seen this very thing before in forums that's why I went to the problem.

Feel free to mark this thread as solved on the drop down next to subject line Big Grin
