Hi everyone,

I have a Humax HDR-1000s (it's one of their newest boxes). I was wondering if there was anyway of getting XBMC on it.

As alredy stated he uses XBMC on a htpc.

No, it is not possible to run XBMC off of that box.

What you CAN do is network the HDR and then use XMBC on other network devices to view recordings etc.
In which case you should first take a look at hummy.tv
