Is there a working version for this addon for 15.0 Isengard – Beta 1?

I am having an issue where all subtitles are playing by default, even though I turned off subtitles in the Audio OSD and set those audio settings as the default for all videos.

I currently have MOVIENAME.en.srt files in each folder (if available) and all MKV files contain English subtitles, but have the forced flag set as False (details are below from one sample file). Unfortunately, I have to turn off subtitles for each movie manually and the "set as default settings for all videos" does not stick.

Anyone else experiencing this issue? any ideas? Thank you very much!

My OP for this issue is listed here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=224500

I'm pretty new to this stuff but i put kodi on my amazon fire stick and i'd really like to try this language preference manager on it because my wife watches orange is the new black and when they speak spanish there's no subtitles. i downloaded the zip from the link posted then re compressed it and pushed it onto my firestick from my adbfire but when i go to enable the zip it says it isn't the correct style or something
any ideas of what i have to do to use this on the fire stick with kodi?
Hey guys
I just downloaded this addon I was looking for something to make my videos play with subtitles for any language other than english, so basically turn on all subtitles for all foreign language ( not english )
I am very new to Kodi so this might be a stupid question. What settings do I need to change in the addon for this to work?
Cheers

It seems like you need to manually need to set it up for each language...

Try reversing your strategy.

Start playing a video, pull up the on-screen controls, and open the language and audio settings for the video. Enable English subtitles. Set as default for all videos. This should enable English subtitles for all videos that have any, regardless of audio language.

Now go into LPM and make sure to enable the setting to turn off subtitles for matched settings. Now go to the Conditional Subtitle Preferences tab. Be sure to turn on the "enable preference" setting. Finally, set "If audio language is English then display subtitles with language None"

Now, assuming nothing has strangely named audio or subtitle tracks, every audio language except English will have English subtitles. You can use tags in the file names to fix any problematic videos that won't work with this method.

Hey

I tried the above and it still wont work for me, I enable subtitles for all videos , enabled Turn off subs if no sub prefrence matched, then went to conditional pref tab and set if audio language is English then display no subtitle
Still displays subtitles for english
Hi all, I'm new to this forum, Kodi, and the language preference manager.

I just installed the latest version of Kodi v14.2 (Helix) and the language preference manager 0.0.5. I get a script error. I am using an Apple TV2.

any ideas?
I dont get it to set this addon correctly to my need.

My primary Language is German.

What do i need to do to get this Results:

Audio Language is German - No Subtitles/ Only Forced Subtitles Displayed if german subs are in the .mkv or in a seperate subtitle file named "moviename.de.srt" or .sub etc...

Audi Language is English - External Subtitles Displayed or if no external subs present internal subtitles of the file displayed first german and second english

I tried several settings but in case of a english language file allways the internal english subs are displayed and not the external german subs...

Please Help!
Would it be possible to add a 'negate' to the custom prefs? For example, I want English subtitles for all audio that is not English so something like '!eng:eng' would cover all possibilities.
Is it possible to use "und" as an audio language preference? Doesnt seem to work for me. On satellite, a lot of english audio is referred to as "und" so would be nice to have that picked automatically.
Hi - trying to get this installed on Isengard - getting the following error in my logs:

Quote:10:50:22 T:18446744072320150984 ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<--

I tried installing the Youtube add-on and script.module.xbmcutil as mentioned in other threads as possible solutions, but still not working.

Any ideas?
Any chance for future development of this valuable add-on, to make it work for Jarvis, Krypton?

Regards.
I've forked the original extension and got it working under Jarvis on my Nvidia Shield TV / Windows PC.

There's what should be an installable zip here: https://github.com/BubbaFatAss/service.L...master.zip
And the very simple source changes to do this can be found here: https://github.com/BubbaFatAss/service.L...nceManager
Great add-on!

I watch some of my TV-series in English with subs.
What I'm missing is the feature to set such language preferences for specified folder only.

"Include folders" and "Exclude folders" (overriding all or just include folder) for processing would be nice.
Single folder selection would be fine (series can be placed manually in such folder).

By the way..
Does filename feature accept "eng" or "en" in filename? or just audiostream_0-1-2..(
What should I enable/disable for add-on to switch audiostreams by filename tags only?
Is this also working together with addon autosubs?

Give it a try. There's no reason it won't.
With basic settings soundtrack doesn't depend on available subs at all.

This add-on starts on playback with a delay of 300ms (customizable).
AutoSubs start instantly. You manually download a missing subtitle, then soundtrack changes automatically.
