I have a new install, so I'm still trying to get the gist of things. I've installed OpenElec 2.99.2 which uses the Frodo version of XBMC, I believe. I'm noticing that the screen is too dark when playing videos. I followed the suggestion in this thread to tinker with the ColorRange and ColorSpace options in the xorg.conf file.
I saw dramatic improvements with the YCbCr444 colorspace. But it is still too dark, only now just annoyingly so. I also tried the RGB option but thought the YCbCr444 made for a better picture.
I was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions to try?
