I'm sorry if this is obtuse, but why does my Frodo, under "Services" not even list the "SMB client"?
This is with XP Pro. I don't have the problem with Frodo on Arch Linux 64, or in my VM with Arch 32. The only way I can access my shares (shared from a Mac Pro using SMBUp) on XP is to manually enter the pathway into the search box. So, Samba is working. Arch sees it. The Mac sees it. Just not XP. I've tried troubleshooting over Google but there are (like with everything Windows) 12,000 conflicting "answers."
Now, one error message I've found is "The network path was not found." What network path is it looking for? Is this just some vaguery of Windows XP? Windows in general? I can install OS X on the laptop in question, or Linux if need be.
