I've tried finding the answer in other postings but have been unsuccessful. I'm running a mac mini 2013 with a 4 bay drobo containing 4 3 terabyte drives. Im located in edmonton alberta canada and my cable provider is shaw cable. what i would like to know is how to set up the pvr feature from start to finish.do i need additional hardware? i've looked at some of the elgato products but am not sure what i need. i don't know how to find out which cable channels are scrambled so im not sure if the hybrid is right or maybe the home run. i see theres also a dual tuner home run. ideally i would love to completely ditch the cable box and just use xbmc. now once the hardware is chosen how do you set up the service? it seems very confusing and i have been a long time XBMC user. any help is appreciated thank you.
