I have search the forums and cant seemed to find a solution for my issue. I seemed to be getting intermittent choppy video during playback.
XBMCbuntu Frodo
Zotac ZBOX-ID82-U Nettop Computer
Intel Core i3 i3-2330M 2.20
8gig ram
Intel HD 3000
Can someone please assist me.
Did not have playback issue on eden if that helps.
I figured what the heck I re-installed xbmcbuntu to see if it was something with the install.
still doing the same thing.
One thing that I have to do differently with frodo then eden is that after I finish the install I have to run this to get the video to display properly. If not i end up with the frozen black cursor fond here

disabling rc6:
add "i915_enable_rc6=0" to the kernel command line on boot
or in /etc/default/grub
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i915.i915_enable_rc6=0"
I am going to try to install eden and do the upgrade from eden by running this to see what results I get
sudo apt-get remove xbmc xbmc-bin
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install xbmc xbmc-bin
If anyone has any other suggestions please let me know.
It seems as the above steps worked and no more choppy video. I dont know what the difference is between upgrading and a clean install, but the upgrade route worked and fixed all issues.
Thanks,
