I came across an error, XBMCbuntu 12 does not work with AMD to start with CD/Live or via USB/Live coming at a time when he should open XBMC, it starts blinking showing the wallpaper XBMC later the screen with the logo, then the login screen, and the cursor is showing an x, after doing this a few times it opens the login screen, when trying to log into XBMC the same error happens (blinking), and back to the screen login, changing login to XBMCbuntu can open the desktop, but when trying to open XBMC nothing happens and always generated a log file inside the Home folder.

I installed the system in a Pen drive error continues, with the same Pen drive started on a machine with Intel architecture and works perfectly.

I reached this conclusion by testing on two different AMD machines.
1. Biostar motherboard, 3GB memory, DDR 2, 667, dedicated video card Nvidia 8500GT 128 bit, AMD 64 x2 dual core Athom 2.7.
2. Motherboard Asus M2N68-AM SE2, 3 GB, DDR 2, 800, video card on board Nvidia 7025, AMD Sempron LE-1250 single core 2.2.
On both machines the error and equal.

Can anyone help me?

Soundslike a driver of some decription is not included.

You could try an openelec build:

http://openelec.tv/get-openelec/

also there appears to be two versions of xbmcbuntu, amd and intel/nvidia did you download the correct one?
the machine with Nvidia GFX obviously need the NVIDIA labled ISO:
http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/XBMCbun...NVIDIA.iso

the one with onboard gfx is too old, xbmcbuntu does not include drivers for that.

and _do not_ post logfiles in the forum, use pastebin!

Well I am using the version of XBMCbuntu Intel - AMD, this description is used processor or video card?
In any case I will test with the Intel version - Nvidia, thanks for listening.

Sorry, I'm still lost in using the forum, I will test with version
Intel - Nvidia video link that shows the error. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EwBHn9B5WyQ
Thank you all.

So, is this video showing the Intel-NVIDIA installation or your previous installation using AMD?

Upload the contents of your debug log (wiki) (xbmc.log) to www.xbmclogs.com and post the assigned URL for your uploaded log here with your reply.
This video shows the installation Intel - AMD that is giving the error.

I think you must be versy confused, because why would you expect something designed for AMD work in NVIDIA. idk.

The point is this.

1. Biostar motherboard, 3GB memory, DDR 2, 667, dedicated video card Nvidia 8500GT 128 bit, AMD 64 x2 dual core Athom 2.7.

Should work

The other one forget it GPU is too old.

Maybe with a lot of clever fiddling.

Ok, so I do the test with the version. http://mirrors.xbmc.org/releases/XBMCbun...NVIDIA.iso. you inform the result.
It is the GPU (ie video card) that the iso relates to. So for an nvidia video card you need the nvidia iso. the CPU is irrelevant in relation to this.

Ok, thank you, so I'll do the test communicate.

I downloaded the Intel version - Nvidia, did the test and it worked perfectly!
Many thanks for your help!
