yep probably the only reason to leave it on is IF the tv was passing though dts AND your setup was xbmc-->TV-->Amp (which some people want to do so they only need to turn the amp on for movies)
Thats assuming TV can passthorugh DTS imo they cannot (maybe only very new TV's and I doubt even then)l. So OFF is best specially when its XBMC >TV >avr-or-NOt

Anyway case OFF until someone can give definitive proof that "their" TV can handle anything other than AC3.

No proof. <exactly claims like these confusing ppl, we have no specks, no tv model and above all no xorg.0.log with debug enabled showing otherwise

refer to post #12 and the xorg debug xorg.0.log output for such claim.

Naturally it's safest to leave DTS disabled, I just meant to say that there are a few apparently that can handle it. Sadly I don't remember the exact TV model.
