I got a little problem when launching movies or TV shows for playback. I've got my Xbmc hooked up to an Onkyo receiver, which seems to need a little time to switch between audio formats. This leads to me missing the first 2 seconds of sound on anything I try to play.
For example, while browsing the menu my receiver is set to stereo (I think), and when I select a movie or so, playback starts promptly and everything is fine. But the receiver is still switching to DTS, although the movie is already playing. One to two seconds later, the receiver is switched over, and all is well.
But it seems a bit stupid to lose those first few seconds of audio, so I was wondering if there is some sort of delay setting of sorts. Or maybe the new audio engine can tell the receiver to switch up front, before switching to full screen playback?
