Having more than 2000 movies in my library makes picking a movie based on an actor pretty useless.
The list is so long that mere browsing becomes impossible just because the list is way to long.
For this reason I proposed a feature in 2010 to get those actors sorted on the amount of times they feature in a movie within your collection.
Sort by Actor
This was picked up by Galvanash who wrote a patch and created a workable version of XBMC from the one that was current at the time.
It was great!
After I found out that "Samuel L Jackson" was on #1 (I think he overacts somewhat) I started to collect movies featuring my favourite actors to push him from that place. If you go through that list you will also find some actors that aren't that well known, but still play in all your favourite movies.....
The reason I'm posting this is of course my wish to get this feature back.
