Hi I have an old pc
p4 2.4 1GB memory and an agp gf 6600 128mb card.
Would it be upto handling mkv files do you think ?
I did try geexbox and it just maxed out the cpu and I tried changing video card drivers etc
Would it be worth trying xbmc maybe xbmcubuntu if I could find an old copy to get around the pae issue

geexbox IS xbmc, so your result is unlikely to be different.

If you can find a PCI nvidia card with vdpau support it should be fine (they are not made in AGP)

Yea I thought as much just wanted confirmation. I will see if I can find a card thanks for the info
