Hello, I use XBMC 12.0 under Openelec. I can't find the "manual update of the library" function in the menu. It was handy in XBMX 10.0. For the moment I cannot enter the unknown movies nor assign them by "thumbnails". Can you help me

Do you mean the option you find under.
System - video - update library

Manually add to library has been removed when v11 came out. You'll have to use an nfo (wiki) file to manually add files, for the time being.
