Hi all,

I installed Offical XMBC Remote from the Google Playstore, when I enter all information as follows:

Name instance: XMBC
IP: 192.168.1.30
HTTP API port: 8080
Username: markdark
Password: mypassword
Eventserver port: 9777

unchecked WiFi only

Access Point: left blank
Mac Address: left blank
Socket read: 5000
Wait after WOL: 40
WOL port: 9

These settings will not give me access to XMBC on the Android device. However when I open a browser on the Android device, pointing to http://192.168.1.30:8080 I can login and I can use the remote buttons. So the setup looks great, but why isn't the application correctly login?

With regards,

Mark
You must set the port Http 8080 to 80 is xbmc default
That would be stange Patrickw, when I look into XMBC the HTTP server listens on 8080 and not on port 80.

I gave it a try (port 80), but also no luck!
Have you also enabled the setting: "Allow programs on other systems to control XBMC" that can be found in "Settings/Services"?
By me was the default port 80 after Xbmc installation, i had also a lot of trouble with it.
But now it works fine
Yes I have enabled those settings:

Port 80 does work!

Strange enough after rebooting the app on the Android device it does connect now...
fine that it works now
