Hello all,

Having problems with my new install of XBMC on my Gen1 Apple TV. I have a NAS drive steaming videos, some of the videos have normal sound, while others have an electronic form of static. I use handbrake for the videos, on either the AppleTV 3 setting or High Profile setting. Some of the other videos I have, which were converted with WinDVD do work, but it seems no setting in handbrake will allow them to play on the ATV. Any ideas on where to begin?

Sounds like you have the "... capable receiver" options turned on (aka, digital passthrough). Go into Settings -> System -> Audio output and turn off all of the "... capable receiver" options.
