Hi,

I have two questions that I'm hoping someone can answer before I begin setting up my shared DB.

1) Is MySQL a requirement or can I use MSSQL? As I already have MSSQL installed on my server.

2) I have set my server up with an on and off timer, my question is will there be any problems caused by someone powering up one of my HTPCs when the server isn't on? Not that I think it will happen as the server is only off from midnight till mid morning.

2. XBMC might appear to freeze up for a few minutes while it tries to connect to the MySQL server. Not sure if it times out faster in Frodo or not.

Did some more searching, seems as though MSSQL won't work so I will just use MySQL.
