Hello,
Hoping you can help me out.

1. Clean install of Ubuntu 12.10
2. Added repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
3, Ran sudo apt-get update
4. Ran sudo apt-get install xmbc
5. Get error E: Unable to locate package xmbc

Tried doing steps 2 through terminal and through GUI same result. Deleted repositories, then tried steps 2-4 again with the same result.

Side Notes:
1. I did run a few updates to no avail.
2. Main, Universe, Multiverse, and restricted repositories are enabled

Any help would be greatly appreciated....would hate to revert to Windows.

Welcome to the XBMC forums.

Typo in step 4. Package name is xbmc, not xmbc. That's why it's not found.

I am humbled....as is 90% of the time...problem existed between chair and keyboard....thank you artrafael
