Is there a good linux build for the MX2 midnight box?
I tried a couple linux builds but have so many issues with them. 1. It tells me file system is readonly and i can't update limrtmp file

2. If a channel says working trying to load and I stop it then it freezes and i have to reboot

3. I'm lost

4. Still $100 to whoever gets librtmp.so to stick on reboot in Android

5. Thanks

Is there a custom android install anywhere for this?
Hi all,

first of all, thank you for the job you are doing!

I am new here, and I installed for the first time xbmc this morning, just because I wanted to see HULU on my android devices. I have already mod the flash player, but it is lil buggy, so I was looking for something more stable!

Well I first installed the stable version for android, installed, installed the rep fusion, installed the addon hulu, and watched a lot of ads! Smile

So, I found out there was a procedure to avoid the loop of ads, I did it but now every time I try to see a video on HULU, I can just see: "HULU" screen for 2 secs and then back to main menu Sad

I found out that maybe I would need a new version of what you call librtmp, so finally, I reached the mediafire folder of Redpenguin. I tried to copy the file librtmp.so in my android folder, but as someone already said, I got no connection to internet. I tried to download the version of pajopasa, i signed it installed but as soon as i get in the main menu of the app, it crashes!

I tried to copy the librtmp.so from his version to the stable froyo and then after signed it up i installed getting the same crash! So i think the problem would be that file.

So, this is what I got so far, spending lot of hours around forums Tongue My question now would be: am I missing something? Because I cannot find any other info around, so it looks like either the problem has been solved and I am still missing "that webpage", or everything been abandoned?

Ah! I tried some nightly version, but I have all addon "bronken" Sad

Ok I hope someone could help me to understand the situation. Thank you
I have two questions:
- Why is the latest librtmp not included in the Gotham Alpha and Nightly builds?
- Since the problem on Android seems to be that the new librtmp is replaced by the old one after reboot, would it be possible that we run a script at startup that updates the librtmp again?
Ok, I was able to run HULU with the September monthly version of XMBC... if anyone is interested..

However, I am still curious if there is any news about the stable one... 'cause some addons don't work this with version Sad

Thank you

Thanks you.

Android 4.3?

If so I am currently working on a new Android toolchain, to try and see if that's what's crashing Android's XBMC for everybody.

I believe it's a 4.3 issue because even the librtmp files that folks had no issues with in the past now crash on Android.

Thank you for the reply. Buy I'm running j1nx build root Linux version. Can you guide me to update the lib rtmp on it?. Thanks.

same here.. i am using linux build on my g box and donĀ“t know how to update and which file to use to librtmp update,.
Hi, I recently bought a pipo m7 android pad, and noticed I need to fix the librtmp issue on this one too, but there's no lib folder in the org.xbmc.xbmc folder. This is really strange. Anyone have a clue? I use the latest nightly version which works excellent and the apk version in this link doesn't work on the Internet.
A short update...

I had to root the pad, and use root explorer to find the correct folder, which I managed to fix. However, replacing the librtmp.so doesn't work still. I'm not really sure where to find the correct android version in the file structure im mediafire. The latest I found is from09-24-13, but using it still doesn't work in XOT-uzg, which i hope is allowed to talk about according to xbmc rules.
nevermind... now it's working againHuh

just buffering A LOT!!!

i don't know what's going on... just very sporadic.

gonna leave this open -- http://pastebin.com/3QjngVti

Hi!
In the mediafire folder there is no osx version available for the latest KSV release.

I've been tryin to compile it myself but need librtmp to be 32bit and I can't figure out how to do that on my 64bit mac? Sad

Thanks for any help!

EDIT Finally managed to compile a working version using:

Code:
make SYS=darwin CFLAGS='-arch i386' LDFLAGS='-arch i386'
Please any Linux experts help me I got putty installed in my pc and it is showing the
[root@amlogic /root]# find / | grep librtmp.so.0
/usr/lib/librtmp.so.0
and the latest file on C:\Users\All Users.AllUsers-PC\Desktop\librtemp folder , how can I transfer it to my box

Thanks in advance
