I have it set to my local timezone GMT+3, openelec displays the correct local time, but saves the GMT0 time in the bios.
Every time I fire up openelec, it switches bios time back to GMT 0
Found a solution:
BUT one CPU core pegged at 100% all the time!!!

This will store the system clock to bios.
