Hello,

My library has very strange behavior when scrapping data.

My setup is:
Pi + HDD
+ SMB folders from 2 different PCs

I added 2 folders with Anime (TV-Show) content from the PC via SMB.
Both folders get scrapped, at least the information is shown (meta data) is shown in the XBMC. But every show says 0 episodes.
I already used filebot to rename the files and re-added completely the folders with new names.

The other weird thing is files which are being downloaded via transmission (the download folder is on my HDD) is not being scrapped or at least it's not showing up. Does it take time until it gets cached / scrapped?

Especially my 1st issue is pretty annoying, is there an alternative solution to SMB?

PS: I'm running my XBMC on a Pi
Could you post a screenshot of your directory structure and some information on how you have your video source(s) setup? If XBMC is seeing the show directory enough to create the series, then I'm not convinced that SMB is really your issue.
Directory Structure...you mean on my windows pc the folders?
Yes.
Do you use a scraper with anime information and have you checked to see if your folder names match the names on the website ?
Doesn't tranmission name the files it is downloading to filename.part ? And change it to filename when downlaoding is finished?

It won't be scraping if the fileis not recognised as a media file (ie if it has .part on the end).
I'll post a screenshot later today (European Time here) - but as I mentioned I used filebot to rename my files.
So hello again, here's a screenshot of my PC folder structure.

Try naming the series properly, by putting the episodes into a "Season 1" folder than then including the prefix "Durarara!! S01Enn" (or "Durarara!! 1xnn") in each episode filename (where nn represents the episode number).
Thanks gonna try and report back.
OK so I took my time to re adjust my anime db,
I deleted alot of stuff (unfinished series etc) for the purpose of having a smaller "starting" db and to find issues faster.
Also used Ember Media Manager to try to find right names and predeownload covers / banners etc and filebot to rename my files (has anidb in the scrapping list).
But still it shows me 0 episodes :/

ah ok I think I got it - I realized that shows which have a subfolder Season 1 are recognized properly - but not those who are just have the files in their show folder

like:
Series Name
--Season 1
----files

WORKS

and
Series Name
--files
DOES NOT work :/
