Full Version: Change Refresh Rate When XBMC opens

So I have my desktop set at 1920X1080p 60hz in Windows 7

When I open XBMC I would like to change the refresh rate so it's more suitable for movies to 1920X1080p 24hz

How can I evoke this new resolution when XBMC is open and then switch back to 1920X1080p 60hz when it closes. I'm using ATI drivers

Thanks
You can have XBMC automatically change refresh rates based on the video's fps. Check out the option Adjust display refresh rate to match video in the video settings.

You may need to customize it a bit. But that is covered by the adjustrefreshrate tag in the video section of advancedsettings.xml.

There are a few threads in the forums that cover the specifics if you need further help.
thanks however now I notice video playback stutters and is not playing back smoothly
found the answer to my solution here Smile
