Full Version: DVD Playback not working on SMB shares

Hello,

I am running XBMC 12.2 Frodo on an MK809II (Android 4.1 HDMI-Stick). My Videos are stored on a NAS (D-Link DNS320L).
Unfortunately DVD Playback does not work when the DVD Folder (VIDEO_TS) is stored on the NAS or any other SMB share. Same problem with DVD Images (.iso). However, if i copy the DVD Folder or Image to the internal Memory of my MK809II, it works. I took a look at the log files and it seems that libdvdread is having problems with a SMB share.
Her is the log file:

Same problem here with the same device but I am not able to play HD or high size videos over smb, while I can play small videos.

I think this is a know problem due to hardware acceleration. I wonder if there are news on near future releases...

Edit: I saw there are test builds that support hardware acceleration, you can try.

Nothing, tried the test-build Alpha2 but no success on playing HD content. I cannot neither start watching the movie, it stops on loading and I have to close XBMC and start it again.

I am on MK809II with android 4.1.1.
