Ok here is my current setup (WIP), which I haven't finished setting up fully so not tested it hard yet;

Case - Corsair Graphite 600T
PSU - Corsair CX500
Cooling - Corsair H100i
Motherboard - MSI Z77A-GD55
CPU - Intel i3 2120
Memory - Corsair 6gb XMS3 DDR3
HDD - Seagate 500gb SATA
Graphics - N/A (using onboard for now)
Tuner - Mystique SaTix S2 V3 Dual
O/S - Windows 7 Pro.

Would anyone be able to advise if I should also run a graphics card, or should I just leave it running through the on-board?

Thanks,
Stu
If it were me, I would just use the onboard GPU (technically coming from the i3, but might as well be "on-board"). For an HTPC and XBMC, you really won't get any real improvement from using a graphics card.
Brill, thanks!
Would it go anyway towards improving the speed of the channel changes from the satellite card, or is that more down to the tuner and the CPU?
Channel switching speed is dependent mostly on your PVR software and not GPU.
Leave it,...you won't need a graphics card.

Of course,..you could always buy one later, if you are playing graphically intensive games.
An SSD can speed up a lot of UI interactions
