Hi, I have mac mini connected to my bose amp using HDMI. Any media played thru XBMC (Mac Mini) sound comes out of the 5.1 -- However, if I open a safari browser (or Chrome browser) and play some video from the browser the sound DOES NOT pass thru the Bose amp? How do I troubleshoot this problem? Any help would be appreciated.

XBMC is sending signals directly through HDMI, but system sounds are probably set to a different output device in your OS settings.
