Thanks, will try that too!

I hadn't noticed this behavior, it seemed kind of random to me in the past, but maybe I just haven't been paying close enough attention.

I wonder if this is due to the way MythTV works though, as it uses the EPG data as its basis for creating new video files. Every time the EPG indicates you are on a new show, the backend closes the current mpeg file and creates a new one. This is true both for live tv and for recordings, so in most cases you are streaming a different video file from the back end each time you view the same channel!

The question is if Kodi sees them as different video's or if the plugin/PVR subsystem presents them to Kodi as the same for each channel.

I'm afraid I'm not familiar enough with the overall Kodi architecture.

Thanks again.

If you can retry with VDR + vnsi and compare.

Interesting. In all my research VDR had never come up before. I wonder why that is...

I had primarily been comparing MythTV with Windows Media Center, and opted for MythTV which has been great, albeit not always the most stable software over the last year I've been using it. (the MySQL database seems to want to corrupt if you just look at it wrong)

I will read up on VDR, thanks for the suggestion. At this point I think I'll consider this a long term fix rather than a short term one.
Reproduce the problem with 15 beta.
Reverted to 14.2 with adjust refresh rate to match video turned off, as I could not use the pvr.mythtv with 15
http://geizhals.de/asus-n3150m-e-90mb0m2...66856.html <- Here is the first Braswell I could find for buying in Germany. Not yet mini itx, but I think we are nearly there :-)
Yes, I saw Asus released two Braswell boards, but for some strange reason both are matx. I hope Asrock will release proper itx boards very soon. And of course the most important: that Kodi will work fine on the Gen9 gpu
That are Gen8 (HSW) GPU, aren't they? http://www.notebookcheck.com/Intel-Celer...749.0.html
Cite from your own link:

Quote:Die HD Graphics (Braswell) basiert auf Intels Gen8-Architektur, welche DirectX 11.2 unterstützt und auch bei den Grafiklösungen der Broadwell-Serie (z.B. HD Graphics 5300) zum Einsatz kommt.
yes, i saw that too, i was referring to:

Sorry, my typo from the phone. It is Gen8
To my knowledge:

Gen9 == SKL

But the libva-driver-intel user another numeration:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Int...generation

From that listing:

Gen7 == IVB / HSW
Gen8 == BDW
Gen9 == SKL
From here (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intel_HD_an...pabilities and http://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/pub...asheet.pdf), it is:
BDW = Gen8
HSW = Gen7.5
IVB = Gen7
BYT = Gen7

Not quiteSad it's a complete mini PC, I need an itx board only. I have everything built from hq components, just need to replace the itx board inside. But hopefully they will release a couple of itx boards too. Just don't get Asus, why they decided to go with matx form...

I've been on the opposite side of that coin many times cursing motherboard companies for going ITX when I desperately need more PCIe slots :p

Not everyone is doing the exact same thing with the computers they build. :p
