OK, so i have a new installation of XBMC 12.2 running on an out of the box mythbuntu system. All is fantastic apart from automatic playback of DVDs. Have enabled in settings but when I insert a disk a pop up menu appears asking to browse video/music/files etc. This is slightly annoying and making the system less child friendly. Any ideas anyone?

Are you inserting a real DVD Video or is this a self-burned one ?
This is a real DVD, I've tried 2 different disks with the same result.

That does not sound like an XBMC pop-up window. Is it from the OS?
Here's a screenshot if it helps, I am convinced it is an xbmc popup. It's basically treating my dvds as data disks
Probably hybrid DVDs that appear both as DVD video and DVD-data?
You are right, that is a XBMC popup.
It seems XBMC sees the disk as a data disk so I guess Ned is right. Could you try out a few other discs ?
