I just put together my first HTPC and was all excited when the power went on, the fans were spinning, but there is no display on the monitor.
I rechecked all my connections and they seem ok. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?

Configuration:
ASRock H77m-ITX
Intel i3-3225
Realan E-i7 case c Bluray player
Samsung SSD 120gb
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8gb RAM

I should be able to boot from the motherboard itself into BIOS right?

Thanks
If there is anything plugged into any USB ports, unplug it.

Make sure the P4 power for the CPU is plugged in.

Try re-seating the RAM and then trying each stick one at a time in each memory slot.

After that, if no success, clear the CMOS (should be in your manual how to do that -- usually a motherboard jumper).

Unfortunately, the H77M-ITX doesn't seem to have a speaker connector -- at least I don't see one.
I had the same problem when I made the mistake of forgetting the P4 power.
I seem to always forget to put the memory in Big Grin
Thanks for your help. I had the 4 pin plugged 180 degress off. Now everything's up and running nicely. Thanks!
Excellent! Enjoy your E-i7 HTPC!
