I have XBMC setup to scan for new content on startup.

It picks up new movies fine but will not detect any new tv episodes I add.
It doesn't find them even if I do a manual scan.
If I would add a whole new show that works but just not single updated episodes.

Huh, sure enough, it,doesn't even seem to touch your TV file sources during the scan. No TVDB scraper errors, no enumeration errors, and glancing through the directories it scanned, they're all movie file sources.

What does the file/folder/name structure look like for your TV shows? Maybe take a screen shot of what the "set content" settings are for your TV shows.
