When playing back recorded live tv TS files, player does not fast-forward/rewind like it should. When you try to fast forward it starts advancing like normal then hangs for 30 seconds and skips forward a few seconds and hangs again. When I try to rewind, it tries to rewind, starts moving FORWARD for a few seconds, then tries to go backwards again and hangs.

I have a feeling this is due to the large file size of the TS files? a one hour show is around 6GB. My box has 8GB ram, which should be sufficient.

Assuming we share the same root cause, I have the same problem and it does not seem limited to TS files, but also high-res MKV-contained MP4 videos. It's been the same for at least 2 major versions of XBMC.

Ended up finally filing a bug report after all this time, come and see if you have the same issue, I've uploaded a test file, try it and see if you have the same problem.
