Do you mean that your media files are on a Win7 PC, with XBMC installed onto the Android TV box? If so, you simply share the relevant folders from the Win7 PC and then add them as sources on the XBMC system - effectively, use your Windows PC as a NAS.

Yes media files on PC streamed across to the android box to watch on my TV screen, I see my network and PC but when I click on the hard drive that the media files on it asks me for a username and password although passwords are turned off on the PC

Are you sharing the folders/Hard Drive in Windows 7?
Have you correctly turned on Network Sharing?
