So I have been getting choppy playback with my MKVs through XBMC which is a real bummer as I wanted my XBMC to become my desktop. I have tried my MKV's in other programs such as VLC and Aieesoft's blu ray player and they both the files perfectly. As I wanted to run XBMC in full window mode I wanted to know whether I could use these programs as the default player within XBMC?
I have seen this page Playercorefactory but I am not sure whether it would make VLC run within XBMC or whether it would cause VLC to run in a separate window.
Note: I have tried changing all the audio and video settings as mentioned by others on this forum but to no avail.
