I currently have videos and tv shows downloaded on my linux machine. My roommate is attempting to stream videos on his windows 7 machine. We both are using xbmc and he has no problem streaming standard quality videos but high definition videos lag and/or are choppy.

Currently he is using wifi but we could connect it to the network wired. Both machines have pretty basic hardware. I can attempt to look for my information on either if it is neccessary.

Wifi is your problem

Okay thanks. Our internet isn't that fast so I will see if wired solves our problem
