I have a xbmcbuntu 12.04 running on asrock E35LM1 and it work like a charm.

now i wanted to install it on a E350M1 but the install process does not start at all.

The installer of ubuntu 12.10 work without any problems.

Could someone point me to a solution, or is there a way to configure
a easy xbmc start at bootup.

I need a automatic startup without any changes to the system if it is running.

it would be very nice if somebody could help me

Moved to forum which has loads of this information stickied in it.

if you want to run xbmcbuntu on ASROCK E350M1 you must put into startup parameter

irqpool noacpi acpi=off

only noacpi does not work.

also after installation you need to edit the startparameter in grup to always boot with this option.

Clonezilla + grub boot repair. Clonezilla to clone your existing setup and boot repair to make grub work on a different system.

On Asrock E350M1 the only think you need to do is set the boot option

pci=noacpi

so the xbmcbuntu starts normal and acpi shutdown work as expected.

hope somebody help takes me a day to fidure it out.
