I use NextPVR, works great with the PVR autotune once you rename all nextpvr backend channels to match the "display-names" in xmltv file

I still can't seem to get autotune working for nextPvr even after renaming the backend channels in to match the xmltv =p

Also some info on easily making strm files from nextPvr here: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showthread.php?5...d-for-XBMC

Can you give me an example renamed channel that doesn't work?

As a reminder, open your xmltv file. Let's say u r looking for nbc.
Chose one of the "Display-names" usual examples seen. WNBC, WNBCDT, 4.1 NBC.

Now open nextpvr settings, channel edit rename channel to one exact match "display-name"

This definitely works...

i second tromy.
i scraped all my movies with a hebrew site movie scrapper (sratim) so all the titles are in hebrew (and info)
the genre are in hebrew as well so i use playlists (if i run the playlists manually i can see all the movies there)

when i populate the channels, only movies with numbers only (like 42, 1408 and etc) are showing and all the 3000 movies in hebrew are missing.

in frodo it worked just fine with the current movie list. will this be resolved soon?

For your issue I think u should go to settings/misc/disable system caching and then force reset channels. This will propably fix it.Lunatixz is working on it and I hope he will solve it

did that and it still the same.
but i have noticed that the movies with numbers only or in english that do get populated do show the movie info in hebrew.
its just the movie title in hebrew are not populated at all.

keep in mind that i use playlists with english names and inside it looks for the genre in hebrew. other wise i cannot set a channel to them since it doesnt recognize the genre name in hebrew
does it has to do with regional settings or something?

I use the same method as you do.English playlists-genres in Greek and I can see the title even if it's name is in Greek(All movies scraped with manual nfo's)
When I disable cache all movies and tv shows populated just fine.My only issue is with tv shows episode titles, that's why I thought you had the same problem and disabling cache should fix it.

I got strm files for HDhomerun prime working with angry camels builder. Will get this going soon hopefully. So much faster than with wmc.pvr or nextpvr for tuning.
Interesting find today, using the ipad official remote you can kick off a movie/TV episode without pseudotv exiting.

Just need to be able to do this using the xbmc main menus when settop box mode is finalised and my life is complete!
Would there be a "help" option for PTVL that helps the user find where certain channels are located so we can jump to them in realtime? Opening Channel configuration would lead to writing down what channel is where and it really doesn't give you too much information. I tried that at first but sometimes I want to go to a channel I never wrote down.I ended up searching and sometimes it was not where I remembered and I ended up going through the EPG too fast and it froze. So what I have been doing is opening my settings2.xml as I surf channels so I can know where to jump to. It also helps as I keep autotuning ON so my channels are dynamic. Where my show would be on channel 150 one day would then be channel 200 the next time I restart PTVL. Just a suggestion. I know you said you'll have some companion tools to PTVL when this is all done, but I think a MENU or HELP option can guide a user to jump directly to a channel they want to watch instead of just guessing where it is on PTVL.

disabled it did nothing.
i set up a test machine and copied 20 movies.
all of them has hebrew titles but 2 movies have only numbers (the movie "42" and "1408") they are the only which are populated and running
Not sure if this issue has been addressed or if any one else is having the issue.... I just recently updated XBMC to Gothem and had to update to Pseudotv live. Everything has gone pretty smoothly in configuring. The only thing I am struggling with is the "Advanced Channel Rules" when configuring channels. Every time I launch the "Advanced Channel Rules" the box opens but no rules are to be seen or the ability to add rules, so i cant add any specific rules for the channel. The main reason is so I can interleave movies into some of my TV Show only channels. The easiest example is SciFi. All syfy shows with B scifi interleaved into the mix. If there is any help that could be given it would be very much appreciated.ConfusedConfusedBig Grin

go to /addons/skin.aeon (have no idea whats the skins name)/720p and delete any files that start with script.pseudotv

they override the skin files in PTVL

I tried following your instructions both with in XBMC and all the file folders both programs and roaming. No folder contained a 720p just 1080i nor did it have with in the skin folder a pseudotv script.
