I am trying to get video osd.

Not going to work, video osd is disabled... because of an odd bug in xbmc that triggers it during library updates...

Well now I feel stupid Tongue I saw in the original pseudotv patch notes that osd was enabled, guess that was info...

No problem then I guess, I mapped pause and audio to my controller (before the button that normally paused brought up the guide) so I can pause when I need and change languages if I must.
It seems artwork spooling (or dynamic artwork) is broken for me, only some of my shows are getting the artwork. It says, "artwork spooled in 0 seconds". It was working fine and then my computer crashed. I tried deleting the cache and even reinstalling pseudotv. Is there another addon or something that might be broken that I should reinstall
thanks to @Lunatixz for catching something very obvious that I missed in my config. while running some tests this am i seem to get this error every other launch of ptvl on two different boxes.

Hi, I followed the install instructions and carefully downloaded and installed the dependencies as listed:

script.module.requests
script.module.beautifulsoup
script.module.feedparser
script.module.simple.downloader
script.common.plugin.cache
script.module.simplejson
script.module.metahandler
script.module.common

When I try to launch PseudoTV Live, it fails and I get this in the logs:

Quote:20:50:52 T:584 ERROR: EXCEPTION Thrown (PythonToCppException) : -->Python callback/script returned the following error<--

I'm running Kodi (14.0-ALPHA5 Git:20141021-e235b13)

All I could find when googling around for common.addon is that there may be some kind of naming issue. Does anyone have any clues?
Hi,

Before I start trying is there anyway of getting PseudoTV to work with plex based media?

Man, I had that issue a while back. Ended up doing a full reinstall including a new common plugin install and it worked somehow. Try finding your common plugin thru another source, I'd suggest. Could be version mismatch.
is it possible to add a m3u that links to an online stream as a channel? I don't mind the EPG not working as I would assume it won't, but maybe I'm wrong on that. Anyway, NickReboot plays a bunch of old nickelodeon shows that I'd love to add to my PTVL. they have an m3u you can download on their website http://nickreboot.com/watch/ (it's the xbmc link) and it works terrific when finding it in the file manager or adding it as a favorite in xbmc, but when I tried to create a channel in PTVL using the manager and selecting the channel as playlist and linking that playlist, it doesn't get imported at all into PTVL, just skips over it. I can try to get my settings2.xml and a log if you need it, but thought I'd ask this first since it's not exactly how playlists are supposed to work in PTVL to begin with; just hoping I'm overlooking a simple way to do it so I can switch between shows quickly and easily if whatever is on NR isn't what I want to watch at the time.

I'll take a look at your settings2.xml if you upload it.

That sounds like good advice... if a bit of a chore... I guess I should also try going back to a stable release of XBMC instead of Kodi since I now need to do a full reinstall to make this work... what version of XBMC is PseudoTV Live tested against?
Has it been tested against Kodi?

Is there a way to tell the versions of the dependencies? The install instructions lists the dependencies but doesn't supply any versioning.

There is no Kodi Helix support for PTVL (Luna has said that he will not support it until it is close to a final release).

Multiple people have unsuccessfully tried to get PTVL work with their Helix setups but have encountered a number of different problems. So I suspect that Helix is the root of your problems.

I would definitely recommend dropping back to Gotham if you want to get PTVL set up and working.

Hope that helps. Smile

His error is clear in his post... He is treating the M3U like a smartplaylist...

You only have two options, open the m3u and create a channel using each link provided. Chtype 9 BTW.

Or if the M3u is formatted the same as IPTV m3u wait for my next update that includes IPTV/live stream autotuning. Available thru the Hub Edition and Donor Features.

What would be the point... His error is clear in his post... He is treating the M3U like a smartplaylist...

Ah, I didn't catch that (or assumed incorrectly that he knew the difference).

EDIT (to lazyboy0172): I added the link to the community list. I'm away from my xbmc machine, so please try autotuning "Internet TV" and let me know whether or not the channel works.

Ahh, well that explains a lot. I should be seeking out stability rather than new features... regardless I don't think Helix offers that much more than Gotham for the way I use it.

I'm running up a clean install now, fingers crossed!
What skin is that in the 2nd image on the first post?

I like it. I want it =)
