There is a Super Favourites code example in the first few posts on this thread, use that. Also, those addons you mentioned are banned here, you will need to remove them from your post.
Just read on tweeter the great features on the next release, when will it be released?
hi
I have question about channels prefermences
Is it possible to set up a channel that will show new episodes between pre defined hours and in the rest of the day will show only watched episodes? (for examples new episodes between 20:00-23:00 only)
if it possible please explain how. thanks

This can be done! read Milkmans guide to PseudoTV and read up on advanced channel rules.
To nudge you in the right direct, your setup would require three channels?
Two hidden custom playlists, one channel that features a schedule and the other with a watch flag set. The third channel would interleave the two hidden channels. If this doesn't work you can definitely do it with four channels, but three would be easier to configure.
Its best to experiment on your own, and remember to force channel reset between changes.

All previous versions had the directories randomized. Now every time I do a "channel reset" it has all directories start at the same sport every time with identical channel lists. How do I go back to the randomization?
Greatly appreciate any help!!!
Having exactly the same issue with directory channels, looks like the Advanced Rule to not show the same show more then X times in a row (forgot the actual name off top of head) doesn't apply with the latest 0.5.7f update. It just puts the shows alphabetically in the EPG as it reads it. I rolled back, same settings2.xml and it works again.
Why can't you use the force random rule?
Force Random and Even show distribution don't appear to work in this version, at least with directory channels which is where I use those rules. They do work in previous versions.

They do work, but the cache isn't flushed so you are generating the same lineup each time, I'll fix in next build. I'll also beef up directory channels with a sort option: Default|Reverse|Random

When is the next release?
This is an amazing addon!!!!!
Is there a way to change the key used to bring up the guide?
If not I really think that it would be a wonderful feature to include in a future update. I want to be able to bring up the guide with one key and dismiss it with the same key without selecting the highlighted channel.
Anyone know how to do this?
Thanks

The back key exits the epg so I dont know of a way to map a key as the enter (used to enter epg) and the back key. If you did this how would you select a show to view while in the epg? There has to be at least two keys. One to enter/select video and one to exit epg without selecting.
It looks like in keymap editor the only keymaps that work for PTVL are the global keys so I dont see a way to do that.
Hey Luna,
i think there is a unicode problem with youtube query parsing,
when i try to make a query with hebrew words i get this:
Code:
15:19:01 T:27772 NOTICE: Previous line repeats 17 times.
15:19:01 T:27772 ERROR: script.pseudotv.live-ChannelList: Unable to get information about channel 200
15:19:01 T:27772 NOTICE: 'ascii' codec can't decode byte 0xd7 in position 118: ordinal not in range(128)
15:19:01 T:28448 NOTICE: Thread LanguageInvoker start, auto delete: false
15:19:01 T:28448 NOTICE: -->Python Interpreter Initialized<--
same channel with english words works perfect,
it you need the entire log with debug please let me know.
thanks
SUGGESTION:
I've noticed a lot of youtube videos have long/terrible titles. This often makes the EPG look messy.
Perhaps it would be possible to add some toggle where for youtube channels, instead of the video name it would show the channel name in the EPG. This would look especially nice in multi-channel youtube channels. For example, my video game channel would have an IGN show and a Gamespot show.
