i'm finding that i can't save any changes to a directory channel. they are all at the default 25 files and sorting at default. i make a change (for arguments sake lets say 50 files and random sorting), backspace to exit, then get out of channel configuration, go back in to confirm it all worked and find it back to 25 files and default. any ideas?

Why did u hit backspace when there is an "OK" button... to confirm your changes.

hey luna.
pstl stuck on creating a channel with 0.5.8a
i deleted the settings file in order to refresh settings,
seems like a unicode problem

thanks
Hey Luna,

Thanks for taking up my suggestion earlier about including EPG data from Kodis PVR back-end Smile

It works great, the only thing is the channels are out-of-order compared to what the PTVL EPG says and the channel that actually plays (did a fresh auto-tune after installing 0.5.8a).

Using a HDHomeRun Dual. I know the PVR back-end has it's own array for channel numbering, and i'm guessing thats what might be confusing things.

Other than that, the EPG tiles are populating nicely, along with descriptions, so great work!! Smile

Thanks.
I seem to have a couple of problems since installing this latest update.

The first one I noticed was a recurrence of an issue I used to have with PTVL that had gone away a few months ago, namely that I have a lot of files that skip back to their beginning if I change the channel to them while they're already in progress. I can be watching a movie, switch somewhere else and go straight back again and that movie will restart from zero. I think last time it had something to do with PTVL not liking .srt subtitle files and mp4 or mkvs being in the same folder on my drive.

The other (more frustrating) issue I've had is that PTVL seems to be causing my instance of Kodi to constantly reload the skin. I can leave it idling on the home screen and every 60-120 seconds or so the skin will flicker as though it is redrawing. If I'm watching a file, it will regularly stutter for about half a second and then carry on playing as normal. I didn't think it had anything to do with PTVL until I looked at my logs of this flicker while Kodi is idle, when I noticed that PTVL is trying to do something while it's not actually running. You can see this from line 347 onwards in this log - http://xbmclogs.com/show.php?id=417996 - After seeing that I realised that those intermittent stutters in playback aren't occurring when watching PTVL. Is there anything I can do to resolve this issue?
Any clue why Kodi isn't showing that there is an update available for this addon? Even after opening the addon information dialogue the "update" button is disabled. Do I really have to manually reinstall the addon every time there is an update? Would it be possible to implement the normal way?

out-of-order... not sure I understand (it's in sequential order).

are you talking about epg data? out of sync?

Make sure repo is installed
Thanks. Just to understand it: If I install an addon from another source than its own repository it won't get notified about new update? For example, I install PTVL from superrepo, I won't get automatic updates?

Good catch about reloading skin....

Can you tell me the version you were using of PTVL that had no seek issues?

Nobody should be using anything but my official repo to install PseudoTV Live... anything else, who knows what you are getting!!

I can't remember the actual version number for certain off the top of my head, but I updated to 0.5.8a yesterday and I'd kept up-to-date with the latest versions before that. Is there a way I can check what the previous installed version was?

i'll assume you had v.0.5.7f which was the last version from about two weeks ago....

I did play around with the area of seeking, so it's possible I messed something up and didn't notice it... but it could also be the "smartseek" function doing its thing...either way I want to check this out... thanks
