The tweet says that 0.6.0a removes the xmltv service due to issues. Is that why I'm not seeing ptvlguide in the settings?
Any reason ptvl stop parsing my live tv channels and my ustvnow before the latest update it was working fine. I tried autotunning and custom configure but still doesnt recognize it. Any suggestions

I think it would be cool to have one for every channel on the community and donor lists that match the title. I know that is a massive undertaking, but my thought is that each person will only add some of those channels, make their own (few) logos, get them to Luna to add to the master collection and eventually we would have a logo for every channel or TV show. I know I am going to make about 15 or 20 that I would gladly send to Luna, but the blanks would help to make it uniform.

Think of logo folders labeled USTVNOW, FTV, Youtube channels, etc... You just grab the one that matches the channel you created.

The reason I haven't put much effort into logos is because I am automating them... No more logo packs in the future... PTVL will automatically find the matching logo and download it.

Some users have reported issues with logos because there is a space in front of the channel name. also make sure that your channel logo is a PNG file. you can test this with 1 logo by adding a space in front of the name.

You are a genius Wink

worked like a charm

Yes, sorry bug with new server made dl slow and kept users from loading PTVL.
I will get it working very soon. I plan to make ptvlguide a one stop shop for listing data... plus be patient Smile
Been running smoothly since the beginning (thank you!), but keep running into issues lately.

On both my installations, when I start PTVL, I get one of the following:
  • Installed Videowindow patch, reboot required! Exit XBMC?
  • Error loading "Custom" skin! - Verify selected skin.
  • {Nothing happening}
  • Already running, please wait and try again...

Things generally go in that order. I tried with different skins. If I say yes to rebooting, Kodi freezes. Help!

(Thanks in advance to Lunatixz or anyone else who knows what I did wrong!)

sounds like you have an add-on or process that is preventing kodi from properly shutting down. you can check and confirm by looking at your log file more than likely.

What should I be looking for to determine that?

It looks like PTVL is the problem. No?

Issued a windows fix (reboot) and it started! made some movement to see if it would start again and worked again. Moved it from 1 to 2 minutes and it stops working. So somewhere between the 1-2 min mark "something" happens.

My next test will be to leave it in that idle state to see if it shuts off. Screensaver aside, my main problem is that it wont shutoff after 60 min of being idle. I will update after work with my findings.

Hate troubleshooting time problems haha all this waiting!

Cheers!
Cheers!

I know what the problem is... I just don't' understand the cause, why on most instances of Kodi it's fine... but for some it's not.

Ya the system didnt shutdown after being idle 4 hours. The screensaver kept going though!

If you need anything else from me for testing let me know!

Thanks again Luna!

Luna

From my quick tests of the update, it looks like you have resolved my issue! I saw the screensaver start when set to 3 min and had my computer shutdown after idle of 5 min! I will test some more but i would have to say it looks resolved!

Thank you so much for your hard work!

Cheers!
I am not sure what has changed but I am getting zero lag on the EPG. I hit the down arrow it goes down immediately, which didn't happen before. Keep up the great fixes @Lunatixz

Same here. Excellent!
Speaking of plugins interfering with the proper operation of PTL...

I have noticed a few, will try to repost this in the bug thread with logs when I have time, but starting here because I'm not sure how much you can do when it may be other's work that is causing troubles. For instance the Trakt plugin (not sure which rev I have installed, just that it is one of the new(er) betas which still works at tracking my watching habits. For whatever reason it is ignoring the setting to "Ignore watched states" and asking me to rate shows after watching them. This can interfere with the loading of the next show, bumper, trailer, or commercial.

I've only seen this once, but on the VH1 Classic channel (which is failing and this might be at least partially why) if I change to it, it tries to load the video and then immediately the lyrics plugin tries to jump in and starts wrestling for control of the focus, before failing to find the lyrics. The lyrics plugin is a dependency of one of my skins for Kodi otherwise I would just disable it like I did for the Trakt plugin.

Also while running the Sky skin in PTL I have noticed that some trailers can make the progress bar\info box doesn't hide right away, this has happened in other skins but it seems to really not want to hide in the Sky skin for some reason. Once the trailer has finished then it can be hidden while the next item plays. Not sure how to log all this, will still be trying to give it an attempt tomorrow after work, using the logging feature in Kodi and in PseudoTV Live.

Posting mostly to see if anyone else has had issues like these and to see if there is anything recommended to ensure the logs record the issues properly? Do I just go about using the app and trying to watch enough of a show to trigger trakt to give a pop up, then try to watch the VH1 Classic channel and wait for the lyric plugin to freak out?

I cannot get the playlist you provided to work. Anyone have success setting up the Playlist and if so please provide step by step instructions?

I cannot get the playlist you provided to work. Anyone have success setting up the Playlist and if so please provide step by step instructions?

1.Download one playlist you like. e.g. "get-comedy-movie.xsp"
2.Copy it under / userdata / Playlists / Video.
3.Open PLTV settings and choose "Channel configuration"
4.Choose a channel to create with "custom playlists" and select get-comedy-movie.xsp.
5.Open PLTV and you will have a channel containing all the movies you have in your kodi library with genre "Comedy"

Of course you have to see if there are other parameters in playlist. You can check this with notepad.

You can download the whole package and use autotune, but the channels that will be created depend on your local stuff scraped in your library

As Lunatixz said it's a good base in order to create your own simple or multi playlistsSmile
Lunatixz,
After creating a channel (YOUTUBE POPULAR RIGHT NOW) using the in app manager, when trying to create another channel,(CNET PODCAST) the previous information is not cleared. LOG and SCREENSHOT: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/7yvkdni9py6cb...-azEa?dl=0
