Hey, guys. I'm a long-time lurker who's been following the forums for a while in order to become more educated before I finally take the HTPC/XBMC plunge.
Anyway, I've been thinking about getting something like a NUC for a while, either the Celeron or the i3, or possibly the Gigabyte Brix. However, I recently saw a news story about this new device coming (presumably) in the 3rd quarter of this year from Asus and I thought I'd come here and ask you guys if it looks like it's worth waiting for or if I should just go ahead and take the plunge with a NUC or Brix.
Here's a link: http://press.asus.com/events/asus-vivo-pc.php
And this is the Vivo Mouse, which it mentions can be a mouse or remote: http://press.asus.com/events/asus-vivo-mouse.php
There's also an Engadget article (http://www.engadget.com/2013/06/12/asus-vivopc-specs/) that seems to think that the VivoPC will have Haswell processors, so it looks pretty intriguing to me. Although, I'm assuming this will definitely cost more than either a NUC or Brix.
Thoughts?
