I have searched and searched but could not find a simple answer to what I am looking to do. 90% of my Movie and TV library work with the traditional methods. I would like it to be 100% except it seems that XBMC only pulls files into the library if the files can be scraped and matched. I have some home movies, bootleg concerts and a few other things that basically do not exist with metadata. I know I can edit nfo files but I really do not want to go through that and to be honest do not need to have full metadata for these files.

I would be surprised if there was not a way to force these files into the library. Do the files need to be recognized by a scraper to make it in the library? Is creating your own nfo file the only way to get it to recognize?

Does XBMC have a script that will push unknown files into the library?

Thank you in advance.

Try the JustUseTheFileName scraper: http://wiki.xbmc.org/index.php?title=Add...tom_videos

Amazing thanks. What about for TV? This will only show up under movies.
Why would you want to classify home movies and bootleg concerts as TV shows, which employ a season/episode classification structure?
This solves my movie issue, but as a side issue I am having a similar issue with add on subscriptions into my library where some episodes do not get picked up no matter which scraper i use. i would like something exactly like this to add missing episodes that appear in my files/library but not under tv shows library
