Hello all, first time post so hopefully I don't get it to badly wrong. I am having a buffering issue on HD films and have tried google and not getting anywhere as the errors seem generic to a noob like me Smile

So here goes with my problem, basically playing HD films causes buffering randomly CPU usage at the time is about 40% thats about all I can tell you from a reproduction side of things.

Logs are here http://paste.ubuntu.com/5922989/

uname gives i686

Its running on a ion system, Intel® Atom™ CPU D525 @ 1.80GHz with 2Gb RAM

Using the xbmcbuntu 12.2 Git:32b1a5e (Complied: May 2 2013) with OpenGL version 3.3.0 NVIDIA 304.88

Hope thats enough info, if not please let me know what I'm missing and will get it for you Smile

Thanks for looking
*bump*

anything?
I'm also fairly new to this site, but from reading your initial description I'd imagine you are using WiFi??

This is likely to be your bottle neck - so try to use an RJ45 cable see if that helps.

Other things to try if it is not the router, would be broadband speed or crap hosted site. Take it to a friend who has faster internet and if that fails try another service / site / add-on.
That's an issue caused by the audio engine. We have written a new engine which is part of Gotham now.
With Frodo available for download, do you know when is Gotham likely to be released??
It is being used over ethernet, but will replace cables just in case.

So would a beta build fix this for now?
Use the wsnipex xbmc-xvba-testing repository It has this new Audio Engine by default http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=116996

Remember: Testing versions can call other problems.
Thanks for the info, unfortunately still getting the buffering Sad

New log file here if anyone can shed any light on it further would be very grateful. http://paste.ubuntu.com/5970321/
